Beauty Pros

How long have you been a stylist?
I was a stylist for 4 years and got promoted to a retail manager about 6 months ago.

What made you want to become a hairstylist?
It has been something I’ve wanted to do since I was a little girl. My hairstylist that I had when I was younger also definitely inspired me to become one as well.

What are some of your favourite products?
I really love anything that gives volume! Powder Play by Sexy Hair is really great because it’s extremely versatile while still giving tons of volume.

If you could style anyone’s hair, who would it be?
I think Jennifer Lopez, just because she has such beautiful hair and she seems to be really open to really cool looks.

What is your favourite current hair trend?
I really love bohemian inspired messy buns and festival looks. They’re super easy to achieve but still look really good.

What is your favourite hair era and why?
I would have to say the 1920s. I love finger waves and pin curls and some of the styles are actually coming back in the modern hair world.

What is your every day styling routine?
I usually wash my hair with Purology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner because it really helps my over-processed hair to stay moisturized and soft. Then I like to use my Kenneth Bernard Styling spray along with AG Hair Firewall for heat protection when I either straighten or curl my hair.

Why should someone come to you to have their hair done?
I feel that I offer a lot of in depth product and trend knowledge. I find myself researching a lot on social media for new techniques and ideas to offer my clients.

How have you benefitted from working at Chatters?
I’ve really learned the value of support and encouragement from my coworkers. It’s sort of like a family in the sense that nobody gets left behind. There is also a ton of room for growth because you are constantly surrounded by individuals with lots of in depth knowledge about hair and beauty.
